The only thing missing in that ad was: This boat used to belong to Dan Arno the Cigar boat builder and drug smuggler.

Whats the story on that transom? Is that just standard for Formula to have that weird shape?

Also, is Edelbrock making drives now?

You are bidding on a 1980 Thunderbird/Formula 302 31' power boat With NEW twin high performance chevrolet 454's w aluminum heads to reduce weight and 500 plus hp per motor, these Engine's have less then fifteen hours on them and sound great but run even better, mercruser outdrives & transmission's are older and run but any serious boater will prob want to replace with newer faster outdrives to match the power of the enjines'. Hull is in good shape water tight and sound, middle of the hull is reinforced we believe this is because it was made too withstand the constant pounding of ocean waves in long distance ocean races , however actual history of ocean racing is not know, but this boat is built for speed!!! with the metal adjustable k tabs also used in ocean racing. There is some sun damage to paint as evident in the pictures, and there is a swim deck that comes with the boat but is not installed as the exhaust for the big 454's had to be moved for optimal performance, but the deck can be easily installed above the new exhaust placement. Enterior is in great shape, all new leather on above cabin seating with no cracks and minimal ware on lower seating as pictured. Side paneling above the seating is worn and should probably be replaced, but as you can see in the pictures most of the enterior ware has been refurbished and replaced. Eqiped with a working ship to shore radio, sterio/cdplayer working speakers, and a fold away bimini top. This boat has a sink and a small bathroom w toilet in the cuddy cabin, and also has wrap around seating and a decient sized bed at the front of the bow (all pictured). The boat has been dry docked during winter and is ready to go for summer time boating, this boat is made for big open lakes and oceans with plenty of room for speed and maneuvering. Boat comes with a tripple axel trailer all lights work trailer has surge breaks. Boat was my project in work and still needs further work although not much to make her look and feel nearly new, I simply ran out of money to finish all restorations needed, This boat is not a junker that sat in someones yard for thirty years we used her all summer last year and had a great time blazin around powell. So no your not gettin a brand new boat, and yes you will have some fixin up to do should you buy it, but you are gettin a great deal on a killer boat that a lot of time and money has gone into restoring. I have reciepts for almost all mod's, tricks, and treats in the engine compartment if necessary.
Out of state buyers will have the option of pick up here in Grand Junction, Co... or delivery anywhere in the US except hawiee or alaska at a rate of $1.95 per mile through my Hotshot company.
Payment in full must be received before any shipment or pickup will be made, and all sales are final. paypal, money order, and of coarse cash are acepted, No personal checks sorry. contact Shaun (970)208-4520 for more info if needed but only serious inquiry's please, and good luck on your bidding!!

I believe my car was painted red so that it looks like a stream of fire going fast and turning left on the Naz car tracks. However, actually Naz car history is not known
