June 8th!!

Lakeside Yacht Club is happy to host the annual "Wiener Roast" Poker Run for 2010. The run is taking place on June 12, 2010, and is open to the power boating public, regardless of the speed of the vessel. After all, it is a run, not a race.

The "Wiener Roast" Poker Run is annual event in Cleveland, and has proven to be a truly enjoyable weekend for captains and passengers alike. This year, the festivities are expanded to include the run on Saturday with a wing buffet at Quaker Steak and Lube in Vermillion, dinner and a live band on the deck Saturday night, and brunch followed by a pool party Sunday.

The run will start and end at Lakeside Yacht Club, with stops along the North Shore. Registration starts at 8:30 AM with coffee and donuts; please get your registration and a waiver for each participant to LYC by June 8th to speed up the registration process (docks with electricity will be allocated on a first-reserved basis). There will be a brief participant meeting at 10:30 AM, and the run will begin at 11 AM.

Registration is $99.00, and includes Saturday night dockage, 2 passes to the wing buffet at Quaker Steak & Lube, 2 passes to a “you-build-it” all-you-can-eat stir fry dinner with beef, chicken, fish, and veggies, 2 passes to LYC’s famous breakfast brunch, and 2 T-shirts (register early to ensure your shirt size). Passenger passes are $45 and include a T-shirt and passes to all events. Friday and Sunday dockage is available at $1.50 per foot. Hotel arrangements (with shuttle) are available.

Sign up now for what is sure to become the signature power boating event of the year at Lakeside Yacht Club - The Wiener Roast Poker Run!

Sub-30 boat is fine, had several last year and they all had a blast. Best launch is probably Edgewater (6 lanes, at the West end of the breakwall). Please register early and let us know well in advance if you need trailer parking as LYC's parking lot may be out of commission - LYC can arrange for some trailer parking at adjoining facilities (Power company next door is scheduled to put a trench down the middle of LYC's parking lot during the summer - we don't know when for sure). LYC is going all out to make sure this is super accomodating at a really great price!

Chris - where are you in Erie? We used to live there, kept the boat at Bay Harbor East, just down the dock from the Pontoon Saloon!!

LOL - what a small world. I used to have a slip at bay harbor a few years ago. I now live in north east but will trailer my boat. I am tired of pulling my boat out every week to clean it. Its much easier to pull it out from the garage and drive 5 miles to the lake.
