I went out to Marblehad to bring my boat home to change the heads, I was out there with Scott (Lake Effect) and his nephew, after working on his cousins 33Sea Ray we decided we would take my boat to the Casino for "A" beer...

Lake did not look too bad until we got out there, it was pretty rough, we just took it slow and once halfway accross the island blocked the wind, it was great for there out! Had 5 beers and went back, I have to say my 24 footer does well in bigger water for its size!

My boat is like a small Lake effect, it will go to the Casino in almost any water! I cannot tell you how many times we took Scotts 311 in 8-10 footers just to get to Kelleys!

Yeah, I recall having a group that was all running to the bay - I had some work to get done, and I couldn't leave until 11:30 - everyone else turned back cause it was too rough.
I ran my 25' baja through 5-7's to get there, and everyone else took the ferry....
There is just something fun about that.

Not at the lake today but the reports from my friends say it's pretty cold.

One of theese days when I get the Cig back together Im gonna have to run ole Scott (lake effect) in some rough.

Back in the day I always wanted to do a race between me, Lake Effect, and Dave Leonhart in some 4 to 6s. There probably wouldnt be a winner but you can bet your ass there would be 3 banged up dudes at the Casino bar saying DAYUM WHAT A RUSH. ;)

That day, it was run through the trough for 3-4 waves, come over the top, and STUFFFFFFF. then REPEAT.
It was a blast. And a well deserved shot of Too-kill-ya at the Roundhouse.
I got arrested that night at PIB... go figure....

Reminds me of our trip home from Grosse Isle. The one time I was actually nervous running the Cig.

7 to 9s all the way back across the lake. Full tank of fuel the boat would stand up climbing up the wave and the props would blow out. Throw in a severely bleeding pissed off and panicing woman in the mix. We stopped for a while to try and stop the bleeding long enough for a few following waves to come crashing over the stern.

Ahhh the good ole days.
