BajaPower has toiled his skinny azz off @ Bennys, saved his nickels, and now has it in his head he is going to buy a Porsche 911 Carerra.....

MrsBomar and I say it will be a cold day in Hell when we allow an almost 17 year old to buy any death trap along those lines.
Additionally he hasn't called State Farm to inquire about the insurance rates for a his dream car (that I sure as hell ain't gonna pay for him).

Feel free to give him as much grief as possoble about this idiotic idea....

He has his eye on a 28 Cig that some fool blew one of the engines......he says if corn hits $5.50 a bushel he ought to be able to steal that boat.

Nah, do the Porsche thing later in life when you need something to drive to the golf course.

Besides, it'll just end up like my Corvette deal anyway. You'll realize that Porsche just isnt as cool as you originally thought it was. Trust me on this.

"CAR" and "INVESTMENT" (as in GOOD investment) are almost never used in the same sentence.

No matter how kick azz the car is, someday it will be sold for scrap.....(disregarding .0000000000000000000000043% of all cars ever produced that really are worth some real $$$ as they age....and to make out on them ya gotta own them 35 years...and you will find that just about anything else would have been a better investment)

If that's what he's saved his money for, let him. But, sorry BP, he should pay for the insurance, maintenance and everything else on it as well.

I think you ought to start charging parking fees as well for all of his cars.

If I just billed him for all the parts and my labor keeping his fleet on the road I could afford a Porsche myself....
