If done right...DOSN"T HURT. Trust me after three caps and canals I've go the procedure down.
There is an uncomfortable feeling like nails on a chalk board but other than that...no pain.
I must say though...if your going to have over 3 canals and caps...it's cheaper to get dentures.
;) :D

I have had a terrible time with root canals, crowns, etc.....still not right from the last go arounds.
The next time I need any kind of major dental work I am gonna just go the denture route and get it over with.

My family has a history of bad teeth, dad got dentures right out of high school. After the amt. of cash they have dumped into my chops as a kid+ the amount that I have spent out of pocket 2-surgereys and god only can count what else. Next time I have a problem Im seriously considering the fake route.

Trust me Ive looked.
It would be cheaper for me to pay for dentures out of pocket than a years premium for any of the stand alone dental plans I have found. My heath ins. doesnt have any kind of denatal rider so I'm stuck with stand alone policies.
To top it all off, there is nothing I hate more in this world than going to the dentist.

Ditto w/ me.....our company has no dental plan, and for private coverage it's outrageous.
I've had a couple root canals, and I don't think they are any worse than a haircut. I have one real tooth in my top teeth, the rest are caps, or a partial I have. The caps and the partial didn't cost me a penny. Back when I was first starting up my business, I had some real bad teeth problems, and no money of course. I sent a letter to ten different dentist in town, offering to trade tile work for dental work. Doc Keenan called me, and every since then, when I need dental, he does it for me, and when he needs tile, I do it for him. We quit keeping track right after we started doing it. At that time, he was buying houses and remodeling them. He hasn't done one for years, and now that I can afford dental work, even though I live on the other side of the state now, if Doc ever calls me, I'll be there for him. I never forget a good turn.
