I really enjoyed the 5+ months I spent working in Panama City Beach. Had a house rented right off the beach, beautiful scenery (flora and fauna) and the locals (once they learned I was going to be around a while) were out of their way friendly.
They constantly made offers to go boating, deep sea fishing, diving, cook outs, etc.
Even had a GREAT airport at Okaloosa Regional to fly in and out of. Some weekends it was hard to come home.

They seem to have a lot of conservatives there...more than northern Ohio by far.
