Tony, still got the bike? Key West to Alaska - First Place, $500,000! You can do it! You could take a couple summers off work and get the Ciggy in top shape!

I've got a buddy who would seriously be into this, he also has the ability to take the time off work to do it. This guy (lives near me) got on his bike one morning to go for a simple ride, he ended up in Chicago ate a burger drank a few beers and was literally home in time to watch the Simpsons.
Half those guys wont make it out of the Keys without being ticketed or arested for speed.

I dont have that much street time on a bike so tell me............how chapped would your ass be after that trip?
You should forward that info on to your buddy. Might be short notice though....

Just slap some Harley stickers on the scooter, throw on some assless chaps, and dump a little oil under the scooter. No one will know the difference.:redfacenew:

The big question is whether a HD can hold together for that long. Most of the guys that do these rides are on BMWs set up with large front tank, second tank on passenger seat (back rest attached), gps, condom catheter (sorry, Scott), a camel back and a small cooler. I've done an Iron Butt on the ST with custom comfort saddle and cruise control but you have to be a bit kookie for this sort of thing - I was seeing things on the road doing 85 accross Montana at 3 in the morning and that is not a good thing.

This is just nuts. I like to take a short ride and that is it. No more than 1.5 hrs. Hell I think I only have 3-4K on my bike in 5 or 6 years. I really should sell it but I know that I will never buy another one.

When I saw I had a PM, I looked to see if I had some quality porn. When I saw your name I logged off and came back a few hours later. :Pirate7:

I did 1500 miles one way on my ridgid chopper in the late 70's. Legs didnt work for quite some time. Worst part I remember was hands would fall asleep so most of those miles were no hands. About the only thing a long raked chopper is good for, no hands driving.

I would do this in a heartbeat if I wasn't allergic to Crystal Meth.
