Well it could be worse. But I'm glad I got almost everything moved around yesterday. Now I will be able to put the Checkmate in the garage and find out why it won't run. I'd like to hear it run before I pull the motor, so I can put the boat up for sale.

Rain beats the hell out of -10° anyday, and it has been that on New Years Eve, so no complaints from me.
Did have a few things I wanted to do today outside before I headed down south again, but it'll wait.
For one thing, wanted to take the deuce out on a long drive but the cab on that is only semi water tight, even w/ our addition of 3 tubes of caulk.

I wouldn't mind if it just rained all winter. Less shoveling that way.
I need to run a buffer over this thing so I can sell it.

What's that blue thing on the back?
Some sort of trim tab controller?

Thats on my list, along with the red/red bow light, and a whole bunch of other little goodies.

I almost had to swim after our Baja one weekday day alone @ Alum Creek.....the strap snapped just as soon as I released tension to launch (thankfully I never undo the safety chain till I am in the water) and the boat shot into the lake....along with the bow line.
At the very far end of the ramp dock I was able to stretch out and barely caught the boat with one finger. It was a 5 minute struggle, but I finally pulled it in. The were no other boats in sight, and no one in the parking lot, so it would have been swim time for me.

Reminds me of some of the guys in the marinas here on Erie that pay 100k for a boat then use $2 clothesline rope to tie it off at the dock. lol

I get harrassed for having lines too big on the jet boat.
