I thought F/F Tim would appreciate this most.

The bike shop is pretty full of winter work as well as both my motors. so I talked about putting my 30 ft boat in my 20 ft garage... my friends laughed and that's all it took.

I got 2 new short blocks ready to go. I'm porting and matching my heads, intakes and exhaust now/over the winter.

It's in the garage for some rigging improvements and a complete set of Bob's gauges and new switches. I want to add more lighting, raise the hatch 2-3" in rear to reinstall my hatch liner I had to remove for the new exhaust.

I have some chips and dings in the hull to repair too.

Most importantly, a warm place to drink wine on the boat thru the winter.

My daughter and I want to race this boat in P-5 at least once... working in that direction slowly the last couple years.

It took all day to get it in and a week of planning and measuring. I had to remove the door frame and chisel about an inch more off the blocks.

All it takes is one person to say it can't be done...

I probably shouldn't say this but I can't resist.

The phrase "You might be a Redneck" keeps coming to mind... LOL

I thought very seriously about letting my eldest, Sarah, who is 14 run a race and put a set of throttles on the port side for me. She's more than capable. I'm totally into teaching the "girls" if they want to learn. Please post pics of her first race!

BTW...if you can get away with it...DO IT.

BTW you probably don't know who I am am by my new name. We met a couple years back on the weenie run, I had a 30 Sutphen called Leathl When Wet.

..and I'm just messing with you. I would of probably tried to do the same thing.

Yea it is way redneck! No offence taken. I'm a barefoot hillbilly anyway:) I do remember the boat.

I thought the same Bob but after thinking about it, I'm looking to put in a second wheel on the other side which is removable. It will still be a pleasure boat. That way I still have everything on my side, gauges, trim tabs and a wheel of my own if needed like a driver's ed car!

I have no doubt she can do it. She raced a mini dragbike at 9, Jr Dragsters 12-15. At 15... errr 16 she ran an 8 second Super Comp Dragster.

She's 23 now and an RN, just moved to Texas. I think she was only 20 in the beer pic. But... mom was with them:)

BTW one of the main reasons I stuffed the boat in the garage was to re-do the dash full of your gages. The racing may have to wait till 2011 so we can get more seat time and pick up some help. But, she wants to do it and I've delt w/sponsors for 20 yrs. I have some potentials. But, you pretty much need to be out there doing it befor you can get the help. We'll see...

Speaking of 10 lbs....

100 sheets of insulation. 35 4" and the rest 3". Apparently the trailer we brought wasn't big enough
