I am not criticizing I am only trying to help. I have a pretty strong web development and internet marketing background and have a quick change you can make to speed up the site. Not that I think it is slow now but faster is always better. We all know that. :snowmobile:
OK so here's the story. I noticed your header image is very large because it is a BMP (Header_black.bmp) BMP files are really not optimized for the web. The file is almost 1meg. So on each new page load that 1 meg file is being downloaded over and over again. This means the server has to keep uploading it and the people viewing have to keep downloading it.
I can change this file to a JPG or GIF image file for you and get it down to under 100k (10 times smaller so will download and upload way faster.) and still keep the quality and size of the image the same. JPG and GIF files can be easily optimized for the web and still retain the quality.
You should be able to change the header image to a JPG or GIF image somewhere in your admin panel. Normally this is a simple change done by simply uploading the new image file.
If you are not sure how to change the header image to a JPG, GIF, I could try and help you or I could reduce the size of the BMP file for you. I can only get the BMP down to about 400k keeping the same quality which would still speed it up, but the better route would be to change it to a JPG.
Let me know if this is something you would like to try.
