when you go to "edit avatar" in the user control pannel there should be an upper box that says something like .......

USE CURRENT AVATAR
"Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it."




THEN, there should be a lower box that says

CUSTOM AVATAR
If you have a custom avatar and want to keep it as it is, leave the fields below as they are.

Use Custom Avatar

You may upload a new custom image using the controls below.



CLICK on the "use custom avatar" round circle thingy then it will enable you to pick post a URL for an avatar or browse and upload from your computer

Mine said that it failed to load... but it still did. I'll check it out. But see if it still loads even if it says it didn't

I don't get the bottom box and I can not unselect the "Do not use an avatar"

when you browse out to get your avatar, it automatically unselects it.
