As of Monday the 18th it will be 3 weeks. I've noted all the effects of physical withdrawl but I was noticing "HUGE Cravings" coming all of a sudden. Today was so bad I went to but some Nicotine gum. Popped one in my mouth felt better....much better. Like a Junky getting his first hit in a few weeks.
I decided to read the literature...Boy did they have my symptoms down.
I guess the random huge needs (about 2 a day) after 2 weeks of not smoking are normal. They feel like a bigger need but are easier to fight. The gum seems to make the Craving much less.
From the literature I'm ahead of the game. They suggest it takes about 12 weeks.
I've noted the positive effects...much less coughing. Wife and kids are noticabley happier. People really noice you do not smell like an ash tray anymore.
Party coming tomorrow. Alchohol is a hard one to get over W/O smoking. I let you know how I did.
My target "smoke free" date is February 19, 2007
