OK...I've never done this to one of my own cars. The 2007 Knox is getting a major AV pimp job. In-dash touch screen controlled 6.5" DVD/Strereo/GPS/MP3. Later with add blue tooth and Sirius (to replace XM).

Voice activated controls for GPS and AV

Telephone through the system etc...etc.

It will not be the loudest....not even close. It will have great Sound Quality at about 500 - 1,000 watts.

Challenge is no to loose very much (if any) ulility space. This will require some special doing to find gaps, voids, etc to stuff the Amps and woofers.

The final look will be very OEM like. Besides seeing to monitor in the dash and head rests it should look any different than the original.

As most of you who know me and my boat is not about the show....its about the go.


NEXT....3.4L blower or turbo motors at 36,000 miles. Most likely turbo.

OK....I give. Nobody makes an aftermarket harness.....so literially I had to reengineer the thing.

Here is what is normal

1. 4 speaker with +/- wire (had to ring them out with a 1.5 battery to assure phase)

2. Illumination dim

3. postitive and negative


The rest runs from a data bus including acc, door chime, and turn signal audio. Antenna is completely different as I belive it incorporate XM/on star (will advise.)

I turn it off and on with a switch for now until I find a better way.

It is now in but I lost my door chime and turn signal audio.

Good news is I have a touch screen DVD/GPS/butt kicking audio system for under $1,200.

The nicest thing is that it uses Garmain software whick is quite field tested.

To be added are head rest monitors and a subwoofer.

According to what I saw very little was made in the USA. Denso and Fujitsu ten all over (toyota). All those components made in China or Japan.

So much for "made" in the USA. Every componet I touched (and could read) was NOT made in the USA.
