Thinking this looks like quite a deal for the money. I know its not the greatest but for the occasional use I need to work on the boat this winter, it might be fine. Thoughts?

I have one of these and am very happy with it. Starts second pull every time and is fairly quiet. If you wait and search you can find them for 399.

and pricy, if you can find one. The guy I am renting storage for the boat and my shop sells them, if he had any.

I have had one like this for a couple years now. We use it to power a camper when we go to Martinsville for the ****** race. I have been very happy with it. It blows my mind how long it will run on three gallons of gas! Most RV dealers sell them. It looks a LOT like the one from Harbor Freight!

Tom, I have a coleman powermate you can use. I only use it at the lake and I bet I haven'nt used it over 10 hours over the last 5 years.

They are kind of pricey. i think i bought the last one on ebay for aroung a grand shipped. i liked them from when i was in the army. 3k, less than 50db, and electric start... probably built in china too!
