Luckily, my engineering background enabled me to surmise the jetty @ the entrance to the harbour to Freeport TX would probably hold my weight.

Dunno WTF this is.....but judging by the ruts in the sand someone spent a lot of fuel trying to pull it out of the surf (as you can see, with no luck)

Riverwalk in San Antonio throws a kick ass new years eve party ;)
We were on some desolate stretch of road between San Antonio and Chorpus and we pulled off to eat at some ****hole run down building for lunch. The reastraunt looked like an old barn about to colapse nothing but trucks in the parking lot and a humvee highly modified for hunting /safari....the front fenders had rifle boots molded into them and each fender held 2 rifles.....rows of spotlights on the roof and a swiveling shooting seat in the back, there were 4 small bucks lashed to the hood of this thing.....cool as hell to see at age 14. Went inside to eat and got lots o strange looks walking in. There were a bunch of Sika deer mounted on the walls (first time I had ever seen or even heard of such critter).
For lunch I had thee biggest baddest a$$ cheese burger I have ever seen or eaten to date, the thing was soo ungodly huge it took up an entire plate and was cut in half, fries were optional on another huge plate.
