OMC water pump housing ?

I bought a new style Sierra comlpete water pump kit for the Whaler. The old style impeller housing has a shaft seal in the top of the housing. The new style housing doesnt have a groove for the seal and I cant seem to find any other part in the kit that looks like its goes in there.

How does the housing seal around the shaft on the new style?
