I know its after 7pm, so you are probably in bed already, but I have a question.............

Do you know the status of the ramp in Sandusky? The one we call "the coal docks"? What is the official name of that place anyway? Is it still accessable?

Yes but no docks. I went there on 11/2 to pull the boat. Docks all gone. bastids. had to go to the marina and pay to get it lifted.

Is there anywhere to get on the boat if you had 2 guys (one to park the truck/trailer)?

I dont know, the fisherman must be doing it somehow. I doubt they have remote control trucks. Im not sure how though. Im in Louisville or I would check it out for you. Im sure Roger can.

My guess is they are running their bow up on the ramp to pick up and drop off. No problem with their upsidedown picnic tables and blender motors.

Down at Lake Cumberland in the winter the fishermen just take a rope and a cement block and leave the boat right at the ramp! I wonder how they'd feel about a new 35 Outlaw bouncing off the ramp tied up to a cement block!

Or, back the truck and trailer in. Climb on the bow and go for a ride. Drive back on the trailer and climb back off the bow.

Are there any marinas that have gas docks or a wall you could tie up to? Thats what I do in the winter when I take my duck boat out. I ususally back down the ramp jump on the bow and take the boat to a permanent dock then walk back to the truck.

You might be able to do this at mazuricks (sp?) there is a old breakwall/dock that I use to tie up to, my boat isn't a worth 200k either.

RHCWe did some scouting today. I called and talked to someone at the Battery Park ramp and he didnt think it would be a problem till I mention 40' Boat. He said no way, we'll drop off the end of the ramp.

The permanent dock at Mazuricks is sitting in less than 2' of water presently. I think we can get around the docks that they pretty much set in the way, but it'll pretty much have to be a 2 man operation, one guy can stay in the truck!

Why not just go over to Dempsey?

Thats probably the worst of the bunch. Docks are pulled at the ramps, and its even shallower than Mazuricks. I was stirring up sh*t over there about 2 or 3 months ago and the water is down since then.

There is always the public launch a CIC but you better not have much of a south or west wind. I launch there quite often and just tie up to the pier then go and park the truck.

The important question now is, Did you destroy the hunk of junk or not? :D
I'm getting tired of it being in the way.

Im home today. I have a couple vacation days to burn up, so I figured Id make a long weekend. I rode up with a couple other guys yesterday, dumped in a Mazuricks and I just sat in the truck at the ramp till they got back. We ended up losing another license plate. 2nd one in about a month. Must be a big rock or something in there. Definately shallow! PM me your cell #. My old phone power up, but all #s and history is gone. I'll make Dawn drive me up someday to meet you for some of those awesome cheeseburgers at Cabana Jacks!
