I hate getting shots with a passion, but today I got my first ever flu shot at work. I was expecting the worst, but it painless, not even a sting. Hope it helps!

I usually get a flu shot, haven't so far this year, but plan on it real soon.
NOTHING is worse than coming down with Influenza in a hotel room 1500 miles from home.

So in your past experience it was worth it?
You would not believe how many people are afraid of getting that shot. The list of people was very short compared to the # of people that work out there.

Well worth it...haven't come down with influenza since I began getting the shots.
The risks associated with getting the vaccination compared to the PITA factor of contraction influenza are so small they are laughable.
The ignorant are afraid of that which their feeble minds cannot comprehend.

Everyone is convinced the shot will make you sick right away, and your arm will be sore for days. Mine barely feels sore, but nothing bothersome.

My only phobia is the bottom of the lake. Is there a name for that?

Try it 7000 miles from home where your favorite meds are available. I feel better all of a sudden for some reason:)

The worst one is "I drank too many drinks made with contaminated ice cubes in Brazil" flu. You dont want that one.

Those of you who know me weel I havwe spoken about the time I visited southern China in OCT-Nov time period. Came home with a soaring temp dry coughing. X ray of lungs looked good (not Pneumonia), Doc was surprised and went on heavy antibiotics. I really thought about going into the hospital as the Doc suggested for the first time in my life but stuck it out. Just so happens the SARS outbreak became know about 3 month later. My doc still reminds me of that everythime I see him.

Vitamin C. Apparently if you start to feel sick you're supposed to take a lot of it.
