I wanted you all to know that we let Cheyenne go to heaven this afternoon. It is the hardest thing I have ever done. She is not suffering any more and is in heaven.

I can't stop crying. She was part of my life for 16 years and fought cancer for almost one. I have to make arrangements for her this afternoon. She was a good girl and loved life.

I'm sorry Carrie. We put Rob's dog down in January. It was very difficult.

I'm not sure I will be okay. I cannot stop crying. I sat at my desk and cried all morning. Cried before I left for work this morning too. My whole mornings revolved around her. I did not know what to do with myself this morning. Then I cried again when I came home for lunch.

Well, she is back home with us. We had her cremated and I just got back from picking her up. I choose a beautiful pewter urn with silver paw prints around it. They made a clay cast of her paw print for us and a ink print which I am planning to get tattooed on my right hip because we were attached at the hip and that is the side of the bed she slept on. Wow, this is really hard, I am taking this really hard.

It'll get better Carrie, promise.

Take the time to grieve...there is nothing wrong with that.

Ron and are not having kinds and she was like my daughter. I never knew it would be this hard. I am working on a online phone album of her and I have been playing around with some pics. I thought this was pretty neat.

There are many people who's animials are in place of children. All the more reason why it's difficult, she was a family member.

Rob was very sad for weeks following Patch's death. He still mentions it 2 or 3 times a week how much he misses him (Patch was 13).

It's a sad time........that's ok.
