So I just found out that I have an outstanding warrent for my arrest.....
Apparently, I forgot to pay a ticket from back in Feb.....I know exactly what happened to.... One of those days where I had to be in 15 places at the same time and was running around like a fuking idiot and just simply forgot.....You'd think I learned my lesson after the whole expired plate/car(s) towed/impounded/rental car ordeal.... But I didnt.
So tomorrow morning I get to go to the justice center, Pay $375 dollar fine to get warrent cancelled, $160 ticket, God knows what at the DMV to get my liscense reinstated, and they said while I was there I might as well pay the $325 in parking tickets to the city to get the Registration Hold taken off.
So heres another whoopsie that will cost a mimimum of 900 dollars.
FUK! Will I ever learn?????

Call the BMV before you go ask them about every single detail of what you need to do. Then make a note of the date, time, and persons name that you talked to.
More than likley when you get there with everything that you think you need the person at the counter will tell you otherwise and probably blow you off and tell you to come back later. Whip your little list of details on them and they should change their attitude.

My son just went through this in January because Rob forgot to renew the plates (truck is in Rob's name).
So, original ticket was $99. I forgot about it. We get a court order thing in the mail after I wanted 10 days to get our mail (I only pick up the mail once a week..there's only bills there anyway).
So, I go on-line to pay it and I can't. I call the number and they said, well, there's a warrant out for your son's arrest. HUH!!! WTF???
So in the end, it cost us over $300 in fines, we drove from Fairport to Parma (45 minute ride) that same day to get his license's renewed, they tell us his license is not invalid so we're like yeah, then he gets a letter in the mail less than 48 hours later telling us his license is invalid until the state receives $15 from us in the mail. It took 2 weeks to get his license valid again. What a nightmare!
I'm surprised this warrant didn't come up when you got pulled over recently for the speeding thing. You didn't show up in court so your license is automatically suspended from what they told us.
And if sounds like you've doe this before??! Tell me that's not true.

The warrent wasnt issued until 4/2/08...I havent been pulled over since then. It takes a while after the missed court date for them to issue the warrent/suspension...
I havent actually done this before... I did however let my plates expire (My car and the ex's car) and we both drove seperately to a bar, left cars in public parking lot b/c we were too drunk to drive...and they got towed b/c of the tags being expired. That was a whole different mess!

I finally got my license back in the mail. I can buy booze again!!!
Doesn't really have anything to do with this post but another example of government b.s. I had to mail my license in to get a new social security card.
Get this:
I couldn't get a new SS card without a picture ID. I don't have a passport, my license got stolen, I don't have my college ID anymore - you get the picture. (they finally took a work ID for a company I don't work for but am on good term with so they made me one).
They then printed out a sheet of paper saying that I do have SS number and I had to take that across the street to the license buearu. They take that and my birth certificate (which the SS office won't take) to issue me a new license.
I then either have to sit back in line for another (at least) hour to have them mail off my license to get a new SS card or I can mail it myself. I mailed it myself.
I would have been screwed if I didn't have a fake work ID!

According to this notice it says, "Because of that warrant, you cannot be issued a temporary instruction permit, driver liscense, or commercial driver liscense. Also, you cannot register any motor vehicle in Ohio."
Does that mean my current liscense is canceled or that I just cant be issued a new liscense?

I think I posted this story years ago but I will go ahead and post it again. Back when I was 16 I got a speeding ticket. Our county has their own little slap on the wrist program for traffic offenders under the age of 18. It involves going before the judge, 15 day suspension, dumb little class to attend plus the fine from the state of OH. You have to show up with proof of insurance and proof of class attendance in order to get your liscence back. Did all that got my liscence back done deal. A few months later I get a random proof of insurance check from the Ohio BMV, send it done deal.
4 years later, I get pulled over for running a bullchit stopsign at 6 A.M. I am promtly arrested for driving under suspension......The reasons I was given for my arrest changed a hundred times from the time I was cuffed to the time I was released from jail. Meanwhile, back at work there are 30 trucks in line wanting asphalt and Im the only plant operator. Finally the official reason for my arrest is that I failed to provide proof of insurance in the mail request and my liscnece was suspended without any notice what so ever. I am informed that I will have to drive to the Columbus office to straighten this all out. I spend half a day waiting in the fuking office to prove my coverage with the same fuking insurance co since the day I started driving. They print me a letter to take to the county showing everything was cleared. I call the prosecutor, he basically tells me tough shit bring it to your plea hearing. I go to the plea hearing with my letter and the judge tells me tough chit bring it to your trial.
....thoughts of torching the building start to enter my head. I call my cop cousin and talk to him about it, he takes a day off work and goes to the prosecutor in uniform out of his jurisdiction. He tells the prosecutor that unless they want to contend with a lawsuit than he should probably read this letter from the BMV. The day before my trial was scheduled I get an apology call from the county prosecutor telling me the whole thing has been cleared.
Lesson learned:
#1 Anytime dealing with govt. agencies via mail always send Priority confirmed.
#2 Anytime you see a stop sign at the intersection of a McDonalds entrance and a vacant dead end industrial park road, RIP THAT FUKER OUT OF THE GROUND!!

They have to stop good people for stupid chit or they would never get paid. They sure as hell don't get paid from the dead beats that have 18 DUI's and 25 driving without a license or insurance tickets.
My brother had a car hit him a couple of years ago the kid did not have a license or insurance he was speeding doing close to 100, and my brother got cited for failure to yield, had to pay for the jackazz's car and had pending suit over his head because this guys skank girlfriend was pregnant. WTF.
The skidmarks from the car that hit him were over 140 ft long. The police report said the car that hit him was only doing 50-55 mph............ . His explorer was totaled and the guys at the body shop said the impact had to be at 70+ but what does he know.

Well, it was a rough 24 hours on the run. Freedom has never smelled so nice!
The life of crime is not for me.... Granted it was only 24 but it was stressful. I didnt sleep last night at all. Every time I saw a shadow I thought it was another bountyhunter or bail bondsman out to get me. I had to sit in my house with the lights off all night....
A kid came to my house to sell fundraiser tickets for little league...When the doorbell rang I climbed out the bathroom window and ran!
The freaking disguise I had on gave me a rash on my face....I think the moustache was made from rat fur.
You never know, someone may look like just a normal biker dude with long hair, mullet, oakleys, feathers hanging from his hair, double slung with mace and have a wife with HUGE tits...but hes a bounty hunter out to get me!!!!
It was stressful my friends! Kids... obay the law....the life of crime and running from the cops is a tough life.
Doing my walk of shame to the justice center this morning I made sure not to so much as even jay walk... Every cop I saw I could tell was checking me out...Must have put out an A.P.B. last night.....
As all wandered through all the other thugs who looked like it wasnt their last or first time there all I could think was, "Dam, how'd that gangster get such a hot attorney????"
I get to the cashier. Pay my fine. Was only $220...Some reason a bit cheaper than the guy on the phone told me yesterday...Must have been kind since it was my first criminal offense... And then the real punishment...the final verdict.
The cashier tells me that I have to go to the regional DMV.................................IN PARMA!!!!
Was it that bad of an offense that I have to go to Parma?
Well kids...if you cant do the time...dont do the time.
Be sure and wave when you see me picking up garbage on the side of the highway this summer!

That's where we had to go.......if they tell you your DL is valid, tell them it's not and make them reinstate it right then and there, otherwise you will wait 2 more weeks to get it validated......they screwed us over on that one, thanks Parma DMV.
