Dont forget to check out the surfside hotel, walk out on the pier, I bet you find red snapper heads laying on the bottom;)

The Lex was in P-cola Fl when I was stationed there in the early 80s. Used for rookie pilots to practice on.

I had a chance to pick Christi as a duty station and didn't. Wondered what it woulda been like...

Florida is getting so crowded and expencive. Been looking at that area to live aboard a boat in five years. Between Galveston-Brownsville seems afordable and a shorter run to Belieze-Cancune to winter:)

The Rockport Fulton area is loaded with senior snow birds, most of which are friendly and got fed up with Fla.

Bomar, you need to post more pictures of your adventures. I'll try to get some good ones next week.

Upon further review, the connection in this hotel is slow as hell so I'll probably wait till I get a better connection to post pics.

Thick as a Mesquite thicket......but....most of the ones I come into contact with are definatley of a higher social strata than their northern cousins. I conjecture that may be due to a much longer established residency here (after all, it was their country untill fairly recent history) has allowed the Mexicans to suceede beyond the sterotypical northern McDonalds employee.
On this project the workforce is 75% or more Latino, and not just the tradesmen, the project managers and owners also.
