Other than a few scattered houses that are on high ground and habitable, the downtown area, and French Quarter, there is no city of New Orleans.
Just a bunch of FEMA campers parked in the lawns of rotting carcasses of former homes.
I really couldn't beieve the damage.
There are a few businesses open close to the freeway interchanges, but they quickly dissapear as you travel away.
My suggestion:
Doze it all down, plant grass seed, and call it a park.

Fill it with water and have another lake to go boating on.

sorry if this offends anyone (well not really) :D but if your f'ing stupid enough to build a city/take up residency in a COSTAL AREAL that is BELOW SEA LEVEL and there is a LARGE LAKE nearby then you deserve every bit of what you get in the end.

I do have sympathy for about 1% of those who wanted to evacuate but for whatever reason were unable to, but based on what I have read and watched along with the firsthand expereinces that I have been told about from relief workers, most of those worthless fuks who stayed deserved to die anyway.

I strongly urge anyone that has the chance to drive through NO and check it out......that place is toast.

I just saw on the news where they are moving, for the 3rd time, a group living in trailers off the current land because they are building a 1M sf building on that land.

Seems to be a reoccuring scene there.

I dont' want to offend anyone either, but after it flooded they should have filed it up with dirt and built on top of that.

It'll happen again.
