Tragic crash

Im still at a loss for words on this one. I knew 2 of the guys involved. Got to know the photographer very well this spring, and the pilot as well. Working with them gave me a new outlook on any boating magazine I pick up, not just Powerboat as to how much work and time actually goes into it. I actually fly into Florida Friday morning and was supposed to be working with these guys on Sat. :(

PBM was doing a photoshoot.
Helicopter doing the shooting apparently hit the boat, and went under water.
Two killed, one airlifted.

Very Tragic. My thoughts and prayers to the families and friends.

I hope they can prove mechanical failure on the helicopter. Mark is considered to be the best by many, including myself.

Ive been in Poker Runs before and had helicopters taking pictures and videos, but I had never got the rush that I got in Ft Myers. I wasnt supposed to be in the video, I was just escorting a model out to another boat in the gulf. Mark flies down next to me and they motion me to go! I shook my head no, but I see them all smiling/laughing and keep saying go so I hammered it. I will never forget that feeling, of having the helicopter that close. I was in a 277 Islander with a wakeboard tower, so it felt even closer! They filmed what seemed like forever, but was only a couple of minutes and put me out in the middle of nowhere.
