View Full Version : Apparently, I have a substance abuse problem???

So, I had an appt. this morning with a pain management specialist. As it turns out I do have a herniated disk and am going to start with getting cortozone injected into my spine to see if that helps.

At any rate, I get there for the evaluation and take a piss test. Doc comes in and asks a bunch of questions. (He's Indian [dot not feather] so read this in your best Indian voice.
"Have you done drugs?"
No.
"Do you do any illegal drugs?"
No.
"What pain medications are you on?"
Just the prescrips listen on that sheet your looking at.
"Do you use street drugs?"
No, didnt you just ask me that?
"Your urine results show high levels of PCP."
What! PCP as in the drug!
"Yes, I believe the people call it angel dust"
What! No way!
"Dont worry, we dont report these to the authorities?"
Dude, I'm not worried about that. I'm curious how PCP shows up in my piss!
"So youre clean, an upstanding person?"
Dude, I'm an accountant.
"O.K. I'll look at the test again. I dont think we are going to send you out of here with any pain perscriptions today."

"Sorry."

So, does anyone know how the hell I have PCP in my piss??? Is it a narcotic?
I was on morophine at the hospital, and am taking valium, percocet, oxy, darvocet, and celebrex. Could that show up as PCP on a whizz test?

Did you ask the guy if he was in fact looking at YOUR! test results and not someone elses? Tell Habeeb that if PCP is not commonly found in any of the meds that you are on then you want another test from a competent AMERICAN doctor.

Honestly couldn't tell you that, but I would request another urine test.

why does the most randon shat happen to me?

What if a cop (or DNR...) pulled me over and I had to take a whizz test? I'd be behind bars likely.

What if I had a job interview and they have mandatory drug screening.

What if my current job did that?

Can go on and on. This is disturbing me. Maybe Sarah has been drugging my food and is trying to get me all loopy so I agree to get married. :cold:

lolololllllloooooooheheheheheheh, i can think of a couple other drugs that would work better at that. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Valium, DXM (dextromethorphan), among others..... will do this. Tell the dumb Jack A$$ to go back to school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could type all night about horror storries from our 2 local county hospitals, you dont go to them unless you have something short of a bloody nose. I would honestly rather go to Gilligan's vet than be taken to the Morrow county band aid station.
