Who's doing what this weekend?
I think we're just going to relax and figure it out as we go. Probably end up at Kelly's at some point.

Speaking of getting old, I have a "minor" surgery in the morning in Mansfield. Seems too much boating in the sun has taken its toll on me. Im getting a dark spot cut out of my lip, so that should be a good time. Then wait to hear the test results.
:( Definately no hot wings for me for a few days!

Hope things go ok and that they find nothing!!
As boaters, sunscreen is so important, espeically being on the water. My lips take a beating and this year I found a SPF20 that we wear constantly along with using visors.
Good luck!

There was nothing faint about it ,,, I heard the "Crack" speak all the way across Sandusky Bay !!!:)

I was thinking of hanging out at home and catching up on some work. I am a bit set back since being out of commission the last week with the back injury. Plus, I should probably spend some time going through my cell phone call list and see who I made calls to while heavily drugged up and apologize....I already had to apologize to my boss for the call I made to hime while I was in the ER....oops.
Although, Sarah is going shopping with a friend on Saturday so I may run up to sandusky and do some "shopping" for the afternoon as well.
Thrill......I could probably be talked into going over to Kelly's pretty easily.

Thanks, I will need some luck today. They wanted this gone immediately when they seen it (and another one on my chest). I guess if my time is up, they can say I died from boating too much.:)

So far they have been able to excise everything with no other treatment needed.

Think positive about this, regardless of the outcome. This is serious stuff, but it's very treatable if caught early, etc. I know you know all that....just be positive although I'm sure it weighs heavy on your mind.
Let us know what you find out.

Sweetie with your fair skin, you need to have it looked at.
I dont' want to scare TeamBaja or anyone else with what they're going through, but my boss' sister had a mark on her leg that wouldn't go away. Finally she had it checked out and it was melanoma (sp??). She died at the young age of 45 3 years ago.
Our doctors tells us to keep our eyes open for moles that change appearance, new markings, etc.
Elizabeth, get your ass to the doctors!

I know I know! I have a doctor's number that my dad went to. It just seems like it would hurt when they take a sample. ...

Well, Im back. It was a fairly simple procedure. The worst part was the anticipation, and the shot in the lip to numb it. I couldnt even feel him cutting on my chest or lip. The lip looks real bad right now. Looks like I called Mike Tyson a p*ssy.
DG, definately DO NOT put it off like I did. That spot on my lip has been there awhile. I went in because I wanted the one on chest removed, but they were real concerned when they seen the one on my lip.

TEAMBAJA

There was absolutely no pain when they cut them out. The shot was probably the worst, but it was just more annoying then anything. I cant feel a thing on my chest. The pain in my lip is slowly creeping in on me.

Dad spent his whole life on a road crew and never wore sunscreen, hees had half a dozzen surgerys to remove spots of cancer on his nose ears and neck.
As far as taking a sample the dermatologist will probably just scrape something over the spot. it doesnt hurt...been there done that.
Its gonna hurt a lot less than a skin graff after it gets a lot bigger and has to be removed.

07-27-2007, 02:16 PM
They numb it so you don't feel it. Like TeamBaja said, the shot is what's going to hurt the worse, espeically when you think about how many nerve endings are on your lips!!!! OUCH.
Don't wait Donzi, get to the doctor's. It's most likely nothing, but is it really worth taking the chance??

He couldn't fit me in until September though.

Mine is healing up well. As I type, it is almost exactly one week right down to the minute he stopped cutting. Looks alot better. He said my lip could stay swollen up to a month, but the cut is healing at a phenominal rate. I doubt there will be much of a scar, if any at all.
