Small block valve cover question

I am looking for a nicer looking set of small block valve covers,all the good looking ones I have found are too tall to clear the risers,I am looking for aluminum like the stock merc BB ones,did they ever make a SB with them?

I did last year,all the nice ones are too tall to clear the exhaust risers.

The standard height vc's should clear. I made the mistake of buying tall v/c's, just because I wanted red one's on this engine, and tall was all they had in stock at the place I was. Now, I have to drop the **** exhaust anytime I want to pull the vc. :(

Those will clear but I cannot put the shift brackets on.
